So Sew Co

So Sew Co is an organization created by Shirin Towfiq and sustained by community participants. Through participation in So Sew Co, members learn basic sewing skills for everyday needs. The group facilitates community building and cultural connection through collective projects. Examples include sewing small objects they can sell to support their families and raise money to better their neighborhoods or sewing outfits for traditional folklorico dance.
