Comfort is a blanket that began being made in the summer of 2015. Small portrait drawings of my immediate family are drawn and transferred onto burlap. Small symbols are embroidered, connecting the family relationships together on a deeper and heavier level. This creates a home that reveals the problematics of those relationships that are sewn into place . This piece is an ongoing work with no forseen finished date.
